ИUMB3ЯS
Ten days ago, I arrived back in my home country from an exciting round-the-world trip. Partying with friends and family here seems to be like an extension of this trip and this is why I'm a bit lagging in updating this blog.
Moreover, aside of celebrating, there's not much going on worth mentioning here - unless you are interested in random numbers I deem important...
- 101'706 kilometers (63'197 miles) is the total distance I covered - in detail:
- Leg 1 (Europe to China): 25'877 kilometers (16'079 miles)
- Uzbekistan Loop: 10'622 kilometers (6'600 miles)
- Leg 2 (Southeast Asia to New Zealand): 24'346 kilometers (15'128 miles)
- Leg 3 (South America to Europe): 40'861 kilometers (25'390 miles) - 27'528,14 US dollars was the total cost of my round-the-world trip.
- 9'765 travel pictures currently wait for me to be sorted into albums.
- 1'000 Sum (Uzbek currency, amount worth about 0,70 US cents) is the biggest bank note in Uzbekistan. Stashing such bills after exchanging money was a pain in the neck.
- 357 days was the duration of my trip.
- 300 Pesos (about 90 US dollars) is the ridiculously low withdrawal limit at ATM's in Argentina.
- 81 US dollars was my average daily spending in Australia.
- 28 Russian swear words, which I have learned throughout the journey.
- 16 countries have been visited by me (plus six, which I transited through) - in detail:
Visited: Russian Federation > Kazakhstan > Uzbekistan > Mongolia > China > Thailand > Cambodia > Laos > Australia > New Zealand > Chile > Argentina > Uruguay > Paraguay > Peru > Bolivia.
Transited: Germany > Poland > Belarus > Singapore > French Polynesia > Brazil - 13,84 US dollars on average was my daily cost of living in Laos.
- 1,45 US dollars per night was the price for the cheapest accommodation during my trip (for a bamboo hut with a terrace and two hammocks at the shores of the Mekong river in Don Det - 4'000 Islands, Laos).
